We start with understanding many techniques.

This is for beginners and I am here to guide you through the different steps. The longer you attend the more comfortable you will become with acrylic paint.
Space is limited to 4 to 7 participants

This course begins on the date indicated above and runs every Monday evening from 6pm to 9pm for a total of 4 nights. If there is a statutory holiday, that class will be rescheduled to a different night.

There is a $10.00 charge for the canvas you will be working on. You can of course bring your own canvas. 16" x 20"

CONTENT:
This is a very popular class so please book early.
In this class you will be painting on a canvas and learning to work in layers. It is designed with the beginner in mind. No drawing or art skills are needed. If you have taken this class before, it is still a good course for you. Each and every painting turns out differently making your painting completely your own. I will show some advanced techniques as well as a let loose be free approach to painting. FUN FUN FUN! Go ahead....Be Brave !

As soon as your class fee is paid, your place will be reserved for the 4 classes.
A spot cannot be held without payment.
CAN I GET A REFUND:
No, once you have registered we are unable to give refunds. This enables the progression of the class to run as scheduled. If you are unable to attend 1 or more nights of your course, you can catch up in the Sunday Studio Drop-In days.
WHAT DO I BRING:
Paper towel is a must!
Although Paint and brushes are provided for this class it is encouraged to bring your own once you get a better feel for what you need.
Other classes in the future will require you to bring your own supplies.

CONTENT:
In this class each of you will begin on a huge 24" x 36"canvas. You will be working your painting using the layering technique taught in the beginners class. This class is designed for Studio Girdwood's intermediates. (Those who have taken the beginners class.)
No drawing or art skills are needed. If you have taken a beginner's class before at Studio Girdwood, this is an excellent way to continue with your art training. In this class each and every painting turns out differently. I will show you tips tricks and techniques to help you through your project. You will be surprised at what you can create with a little guidance.

As soon as your class fee is paid, your place will be reserved for 6 classes. Class blocks are purchased in 6 night blocks. A spot cannot be held without payment.

Dot Dab Doodle Class
Wednesday Afternoons
1pm to 4pm
This class begins on the date indicated above and runs every Wednesday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm for 4 weeks.
If there is a statutory holiday, that class will be rescheduled to a different day.
CONTENT:
In this class you will be working on many different techniques to help you create a unique piece of art using your imagination. If you finish one piece you can create more, giving you the confidence to create pieces of art that are uniquely yours. This class is designed for beginners. It combines drawing, design, dotting, dabbing and doodling. No worries...you will succeed! Let me prove to you that you can Dot Dab Doodle!
If you have taken a class before at Studio Girdwood, this is an excellent way to continue with your art training as well. You will be surprised at what you can create with a little help and guidance.
The image above will not be the exact design that you will be creating. Colors and patterns change as we progress through the projects.

WHAT DO I BRING:
Pencil, Eraser, Black Ink Permanent Markers with different nib sizes. Good choice for nib sizes are
e.g. 12.0, 10.0, 0.8 (I like the Micron Pens and they are sold locally.)
